Route 113 has been extended from Airport Road terminus, which is also served by routes 101, 103 and 105, to a new terminus at Tang-an Road.
Although new wiring has been installed along mostof the extension, the terminal stop remains unwired, and trolleybuses must use auxiliary
power here.
Three new routes, all of which cross the Pearl River by different
bridges, were opened on 23rd January 2003.
Routes 112 (from Tianpingjia), 113 (from Airport Road) and 114
(from Luochongwei) terminate at the new trolleybus terminus at Nantian Road.
Fifty new, air-conditioned, locally-manufactured Pearl River-brand trolleybuses have been placed in service on routes 112 and 114. They carry a green livery and are equipped with silicate batteries. Route 113 is operated mainly by SK5105GP vehicles. The number of routes and vehides in this city has expanded from 7 and 116 in 1998 to 14 and
over 300 in 2003.
