The last of the seven double-articulated Trolleybuses "LighTram" arrived as planned on Wednesday, 16.12.2009 by low-loader in St.Gallen. It was Trolleybus number 192, which after the factory acceptance test in Bellach, was sent to the city of Biel as a demonstrator and tested their on their system before being delivered to St. Gallen. This was the second vehicle of the batch to be used for demonstration purposes. As previously reported, "LighTram" number 189 was put on show during November by the manufacturer, Hess, at "Swisstraffic" in Berne.

Thus, the fleet renewal is complete, a total of 66 new vehicles are now available for regular servicec of which 24 are Trolleybuses (Nfleet numbers 171 to 194).

The certifiction of the last vehicle by the BAV (Bundesamt für Verkehr) (Federal Office for Transport) was issued shortly before Christmas, and therefore all new vehicles are now registered. (See data link "more information"). So far, not all vehicles have been in service because the manufacturers are still carrying out minor rectification of defects.

Consequently the old Trolleybuses will remain in service until the end of the year. With the exception of the converted double-articulated Trolleybus number 155 all of the 1991/1992 NAW / Hess Trolleybuses will be withdrawn form service and have been sold to Sarajevo. The operating company in Sarajevo "Javno Komunalno Preduzeće – Gradski Saobraćaj Sarajevo" (JKP-GRAS http://www.gras.co.ba/ ) have been able to raise the necessary funds.

Contrary to the first sale attempt in the summer of 2009 through an intermediary, the17 vehicles have now been sold directly to JKP-GRAS.

After the contract had been signed, as planned, and the first payment for eleven vehicles received, the first eight of the articulated Trolleybuses are to be loaded for their delivery to Sarajevo on the 12th. of January 2010.

The date may not be met due to difficulties with the vehicle dimensions which have an overhang when loaded.
